Let go and let God.
Scripture
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
Observation
This scripture is a wake up call . Reason being we can be caught up in life, the busyness of it all. We can be out here creating our goals as the year progresses and perhaps even achieve them but let’s take a moment to pause and ask ourselves. “In all my dealings so far can I confidently say I’ve been doing the exact “works” God has prepared for me to do ? “ Now it’s easy to associate success to what society deems as success. Get a degree, a good paying job , a nice car, good marriage and family etc . Now while all that is good, the real question still remains. Am I truly walking in alignment of what God has called me to do ? We are not here on our own will but God’s so why then do we act like we get to do this thing called life our own way ?
Application
It’s important to take personal retreats and time off your busy schedule, routines and just seek the face of God. It’s important to enquire of the Lord if currently you’ve achieved or are achieving the things that He prepared beforehand for you to do. How willing are you to let go of societies expectations just to walk in the purpose God has called you to ? How willing are you to let go of the people , habits and idols in your heart that prevents you from doing so ? Yes God has given us free will but He said “He’s offering us life and death but we should choose life”(Deuteronomy 30:19). The ball is in your court to make sure you’re walking in alignment and purpose of God. If Jesus is who we are created in and who we mimic then news flash, He came to do one thing and one thing only, to do God’s will. (John 6:38)
Prayer
Heavenly Father thank You for Your word today. May Your word hide in my heart. Where I’ve moved out of purpose and alignment , May You bring me back. Grant me the desire to do Your will in Jesus name I pray Amen.
