Every created thing, Christian or not will bow to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Scripture
“And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, forever and ever!” - Revelations 5:13
Observation
The word “creature “ means a “created thing” . This immediately lets us know that this scripture is not just for believers . It’s for every living thing. Christians , non Christians , animals etc . This includes those that are in heaven (eg angels , elders) , those of us that are on earth (eg humans), under the earth, in the sea and every single living thing . We will all one day acknowledge the King of kings . I say one day because the book of revelations is a prophecy (Revelations 1:1) so this scripture is yet to play out before our very own eyes .
One thing I also noticed about the scripture are the qualities God possesses . He is an extraordinary God. The only true God fit enough for blessings , honour , glory and power. Blessings to God means to praise or commend Him , to declare honour means acknowledging that He’s worthy of our respect, to declare glory means His whole essence is magnificent and power means we acknowledge the authority and the ability He has to create , change , destroy etc . My words cannot do this scripture enough justice because the entirety of God, His qualities ,His ways, wisdom is just mind boggling . He’s a wonder to my soul. What is even more fascinating is His posture as a lamb , how can an extraordinary God be this humble?
Application
This scripture is a wake up call. We need to yearn to know God if we don’t and to know Him even deeper if we already do . I mean for all of us to one day call out these attributes unto Him means He’s more than worthy . It is a privilege to know Him. This is the God that seeks for us to draw near to Him and to do His will . We need to be conscious that a time is coming when we will all be standing infront of the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Yes you may recognise Him but the question is will He recognise you as His own ? (Matthew 7:22-23) This scripture in Matthew 7:22helps us to understand, calling yourself a Christian, prophesying , casting out demons doesn’t equate to intimacy with God.
When we look at our blue print Jesus, whilst here on earth , His main concern was to do the will of God . One simple question you can ask yourself today is am I confidently doing the will of God in every area of my life ?
Prayer
Heavenly Father thank You for being an extraordinary God. You’re the only true living God and all glory, power and honour belongs to you . I recognise and accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. May You reveal yourself to me in ways I haven't experienced before in Jesus Name I pray Amen.
