You’re priceless in God’s eyes.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.“ - John 3:16
Observation
This scripture came out from a conversation Jesus was having with a Pharisee by the name “Nicodemus”. Jesus was making it known to Him the importance of being “born again“ before you can see the kingdom of God. Now seeing the kingdom of God is beyond going to heaven when you die . It’s also seeing God’s rulership and dominion over your life even whilst you live here on earth.
Moving on to today’s scripture, God gave up His only son to die for our sins because He loves us and the world was perishing . We had no hope after death here on earth . We were destined for eternal damnation (Romans 6:23). To believe in God means to persuaded of His existence and to place your confidence in Him. To perish also means to be given over to eternal misery in hell. However when we accept Jesus and acknowledge Him and jHis death we avoid this .
One thing I hear a lot is if God loves you why would He watch you go to hell to perish at all ? Question is, if you don’t love Him enough to be with Him whilst here on earth why would you want to be with Him in heaven for “eternity” ? Anyone who truly loves you, gives you a choice and this scripture urges us to make the right choice by choosing Him.
Application
Firstly, let’s look at the topic of love. Love has to be accompanied with giving . Not just giving but giving something that costs you. God the Father modelled this by giving His only begotten son , Jesus. Now Jesus also said to us if we love Him, we would obey His commandment (John 14:15) . That is you offering yourself as a living sacrifice to live a life that pleases Him and to do His will (Romans 12:1).
On the topic of not perishing, the only way to obtain eternal life is through one door and one name “Jesus Christ” (John 10:9) every other name is an idol and a false god. It’s important this is only name you live by and acknowledge. Emphasis on “only” as it’s not “Jesus and other gods”.
To see the kingdom of God, the first step is to believe in your heart that God sent His son Jesus to die for you. So I ask you today , do you believe? If you do then you can proceed with the last aspect . Confess and say out loud with your mouth “I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and He came to die for my sins so I may have eternal life”.Congratulations if you said this as you’re officially a legitimate child of God . Now the life you live must reflect that of Jesus . Reading the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) in the Bible would be a great place to understand the life that Jesus is calling us to live.
Prayer
Heavenly Father thank You for Your word today . Thank You for forgiving my sins. Thank You for sending Your son to come and die for Me. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and He came to die for my sins so I may have eternal life. I believe You are the risen king and Lord in Jesus name I pray amen.
